This bedroom stood out from hundred others on my Insta feed. I don’t know what is more captivating: the beautiful B&W furnishing or the laid back style of the bedroom that makes you want to jump in. Most of all, it looks lived in and decorated with love.
Today we are touring Izzy’s townhouse. She lives with her family in a 3-bed townhouse in Oxfordshire, UK. They have lived in the house for six years now. When I asked Izzy to describe her decorating style, she said” I would say my decorating style is heavily influenced by Scandi and mid century style”.
She chronicles images of her home and life at nest_number_9. The downstairs comprises of an open plan sitting room-dining and kitchen. Her house is full of thrift and budget finds like the dining table; they are all well curated to make the space look picture perfect.
Izzy’s taste in furniture is impeccable as she effortlessly mixes a two-tiered wood and metal industrial/Scandi coffee table with a plush grey sofa.
There are more than a dozen lessons on interior styling in this charming English home. Tour it to be inspired. And oh! you know what she loves turquoise. You can find hints all over the house from cushions and vases to baskets. Need I remind you of my love for that color!
Three things that I loved:
— that kitchen crockery wall hanging rack.
— how she has personalized the bathroom with pictures from their travels. We never give much thought to this but the bathroom is the first place we step into every morning. What can be a more delightful start to the day than waking up to pleasant memories of family.
— monochrome styling. She aces it like no other.
Izzy, thank you.
