You can go with gold or white self patterned heavy fabric. It will make it appear luxurious. Floral patterns or any other pattern will not have the same impact. You can go with a double rod and opt for a sheer in the front and the heavy fabric in the back. You can draw both the curtains while watching TV and keep only the sheer otherwise.
