The main brief from the client was to decorate every room that would reflect the personality of its occupants. So no two rooms are alike from colour preferences or decor choices. Accordingly, the flow and layout of the house has also been harmoniously designed to suit the lifestyles of all the generations living under one roof.

Having said that, there are certain common elements that tie the overall design: use of wood, gold undertones to give that luxurious feeling, customized artifacts, and paintings.

Living + Dining

Stairway landings are always tricky to paint or decorate. Three large modern paintings in bright colors anchor this space with the rest of the decor.
This is one of the highlights of this home. A double height space in the middle above the dining is adorned with customized printed stretchable ceiling that reflects on the side mirror wall.

Bedrooms

Parents bedroom sport a neutral base with shades of turquoise, grey, and light grey. The right amount of wood in paneling and flooring gives it warmth.
A snapshot of all the bedrooms.
Master bedroom in rich hues of red, black and bronze. The beautiful wall paintings and artifacts are add-ons to its rich ambience.
The lavender room belongs to the daughter. The paintings on the wall, curtains, and furnishings are all variations of the same colour scheme.
Son’s bedroom on the third floor uses shades of turquoise and grey. The sloping roof enhances the illusion of space.

The home is spread over three levels. The veranda in the ground floor opens up to a drawing room; in addition, this level houses a dining area, kitchen, utility, pooja room, bedroom with attached toilet, backyard and servant quarter.

The first floor comprises two bedrooms with attached toilets and a lounge area. The second level has terrace, a bedroom with the attached toilet, and an open shaft to the ground floor below.

The living room is a modern space visualized in white, gold and wood representing austerity and tranquility. The wood-and-gold theme flows from the ceiling to walls and flooring that gets interpreted in different forms like paneling and furnishing.  Some of the contemporary artworks that blend with the design have been customized for this space.

The four bedrooms follow their one own colors scheme from turquoise to lavender and gray.
