It’s bleeding red all over the town with ‘Sale’ announcements. I know, you may ask, “when isn’t it?” I believe this is one time of the year when the sale is genuine, and you can get good bargains. I was at HomeTown yesterday afternoon and here are a few items worth picking to spruce up your home decor, or stock on candles for Diwali.
There’s no such thing as too many lanterns or too many candles, don’t you think? :) At least, no in my lexicon. Every year, I pick up candles, face towels, pot potpourri during this sale season. For the first time, in as many years, we plunged into darkness for a good three days in April, after one heavy downpour. Who would have imagined these scented candles to come to rescue? The home smelt good and romantic walking into floating candles of all shapes and sizes lit all over. It’s time to stock up again.
I’m also a big fan of colored bottled and mason jars. Home Town is about the only place in town where I have seen Mason Jars. I love them so much that I have a Pinterest board to pin exclusive ideas using these jars. I have a green colored bottle that I picked up from Home Center; the bottle is often home to three stalks of Rajnigandha. Home Town has it in these various shades.
And a few other things that were not sale.
All images taken by me.
