Why stick to conventional, tried-and-tested, contemporary furniture that only looks good? While strolling down CMH Road in Indiranagar with my son, my eyes fell on a easy chair stationed outside Fab India. I went into a take a quick look. The only image that flashed my mind: lazy afternoons with the rear plopped up in the easy chair with iPad for company. And another thought of my grandfather in his sturdy rosewood easy chair solving crossword puzzles. That was his favorite piece of furniture in our ancestral home. He always kept it by the window side – the one corner that received ample natural light thr the day – so he could read. One of my favorite online magazines, the British interior design magazine Heart Home, featured a collection of deck chairs. Naturally, I drooled over them and think should make space for one.
